Weekend Wonder

There are times when I have to sit back and appreciate just how lucky I am. I have a wonderful husband and two beautiful girls.

I was having a particularly bad moment this weekend; we all know them, where the hormones threaten to overwhelm us and plunge us head first into a complete meltdown. My amazing trio launched into full on sing and car dance to:

Needless to say I was instantly smiling through my tears and do dooing along....and have being doing so for the rest of the weekend!!

I hope you all had a good weekend. What is the song that instantly cheers you up?

  1. Oh Sleepy Joe, I'm so sad that you had a moment (yes, I very much know the...pain? craziness? discomfort, to say the least), but I'm so, so happy that your trio had the perfect thing to cheer you up.

This is a lovely moment. Thanks for sharing.

And duh, now this is totally the song I'll go to when in need of instant cheering.

    1. Ah, don't be sad...it happens to most of us at some point. The song is great for unearthing a smile when it feels like it is buried forever, glad you like it :-)

  4. Yay for muppets!

My pick-me-up song is Johnny Nash's "I Can See Clearly Now". That song never fails to make me smile. Also, They Might Be Giants' "Birdhouse in Your Soul". It is virtually impossible to be sad while listening to that song :).

    1. Great songs too :-)

I have another too; Katrina and the waves 'walking on sunshine. I walked out of the church to it on my wedding day!

  5. Awesome! Singing and being joyful in general cheer me up whenever. I can be in the car in a funk and a good sing-a-long song comes on and I am instantly transformed to joy.
