Day 2 NaBloPoMo December - Small Frosty Stones

The Start of the Christmas Season

Sparkling glitter sprinkled over night
Crunching leaves and grass
Giggles and smile and smoking breath
Then a final twinkle in the darkness

As a side note, a friend has posted the most gorgeous and intriguing picture on his blog this week. Take a look here and before you read any of the post or comments answer this question....What do you see? Let me know here because it has really captured my imagination!

    1. But what did you see?? I have this theory that it is one of those things where what you see is more about what is on your mind when you were looking at it than who the carving is of??

    2. It looked like a man, an old bearded man. But he looked sort of like he was laughing!

    3. I got the laughing too, guess that's why I saw Santa!!

  2. First- love the poem!
Second-the rock is really cool, but the background is, too. So beautiful. (I could see the face right away.)

  3. I saw the face in the rock straight away....that picture also made me realise that we live in such a beautiful place! Pendle Hill is so wonderful! Lee is so talented!

(Also - I adore the poem...not surprised by the mention of glitter either!)

    1. Who did you see though when you saw the face?? Me, I saw Santa, Lee saw Jesus, just wondering if there are any more things to add into the mix ;-)

Work looked like a glitter explosion had occured, the sound of it being hoovered up was oddly satisfying though!!

  4. Having a fun break from housework and my nursing duties (mother in law is ill) by catching up on the blogs I've missed last few days. Either the quarry worker looked a lot like Santa or the time of year is affecting how I'm seeing things!!
